Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using The Split ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
The Split is a platform for creating, sharing, and browsing cocktail recipes and related content. It is provided free of charge and may change or be discontinued at any time.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create. By posting content publicly you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it as part of operating the service (including in search results and social-media previews). Content marked private is displayed only to you. You are responsible for the content you post and must hold the rights to it.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to post unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive content; to impersonate others; to attempt unauthorized access; to disrupt the service; or to harvest data about other users. We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion to protect the service or its users.
6. Alcohol
The service publishes recipes involving alcoholic beverages for informational purposes. It does not sell alcohol. You are responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction, including those on legal drinking age. Nothing on the service is dietary, medical, or safety advice; consume responsibly.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content, or uninterrupted availability. User-submitted recipes are not verified by us.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero).
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion at thesplit@foge.us. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. Sections 4, 7, and 8 survive termination.
10. Changes
We may revise these terms. The effective date above reflects the latest revision; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
